Daheli Hall
Dahéli was part of the first season of "Hell Date" on BET. She wrote, directed, and starred in two shorts nominated for a HBO Short Film Award: The Memo & Mandingo in a Box, which features MADtv alum, Debra Wilson. Both films have aired on HBO. Dahéli's stand up gigs include "The Comedy Union" and "The Improv."
Dahéli is known for her off-the-wall characters like Ray Ray, a lusty homeless man, and half black and half Korean wanna-be pop-star, Tenaesha Taekwan. Her piece the "Alphabetology of Love," made famous by her slam poet character, Sista Revolution, won first prize at both the Manhattan and NYU Monologue Slam competitions. Dahéli also has a website of comedic videos on www.tickles.tv.
Dahéli received a MFA in Producing for Film/TV from USC and a BFA in Theater from NYU. Born of Haitian and Jamaican parents, Dahéli is from Miami and lives in LA, where she continues to perform stand up .
